Safe Environment – PROTECTING GOD’S CHILDREN
Thank you for wanting to volunteer at Santa Teresa Catholic Church.
“Dioceses are to evaluate the background of all priests and deacons who are engaged in ministry in the diocese, and of all diocesan parish/school paid personnel and volunteers whose duties include ongoing, unsupervised contact with minors.” – Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People, Article 13, USCCB 2011 Revision.
To start the process, please view this document —-> VIRTUS-step by step instruction. Please follow every step! <— CLICK
You will need to make sure you email your information, take the online course, email the certificate and then go get your prints done, and have them clear before you can volunteer.
Please note: Fingerprints take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months to clear (going through the Department of Justice and the FBI) and you are unable to volunteer until they are completed.
Thank you for your time and for volunteering!
