CALL TO ACTION & EVENTS – HELP SPREAD THE WORD 

Raise Awareness & Action to Take
January is the month to raise awareness about human trafficking, also known as modern day slavery.  All are invited to attend and spread the word about these upcoming events and to be present and help make a difference.

  1. Sat., Jan. 19th – “A Day of Healing” for all affected by sexual abuse January 19th Flyer
    Intended audience:  Victims and their family and friends supporting their journey to heal
    Time and Contact:  Jan. 19th    9am – 2pm, Free of charge – Contact:  pminer@dsj.org
    Location:  Archbishop Mitty High School, 5000 Mitty Way, San Jose
  2. Sun. Jan. 27th – “Hope in the Darkness” Hope in the Darkness– STOP Human Trafficking:  A Call to Action
    Learn how to combat modern day slavery in our local community with guest speakers
    Cindy Chavez, SCC Supervisor, and Patrick Vanier, San Jose Deputy District Attorney
    Intended audience:  General Public
    Time and Contact:  Jan. 27th    2:00pm – 3:30pm – sponsored by inter-faith S.T.O.P.
    Location:  Saratoga Federated Church, 20390 Park Place, Saratoga
  3. Jan. 26 & 27 – Movie Screening:  “I Am Still Here” followed by Q&A with Writer/Director 
    Intended audience:  Mature audience, High School students should attend with an adult
    Two Days and Locations:  Movie_I.Am.Here_LAUMC &St. Mary
