MOM’S PRAYER GROUP The journey through the years of parenting teens and young adults can be some of the most challenging times mothers can face. She needs to remember to take some time for herself for spiritual reflection, pursuing her own interests, emotionally recharging, and connecting with other Moms who share her similar joys and struggles. We have a Mom’s Prayer Group at Santa Teresa for Mom’s of teens and young adults. The prayer group has been designed to support and affirm mothers. It is a ministry for women bonded by their catholic faith and coming together in humility seeking God’s guidance through the power of prayer in numbers. If you are a mom of a teen or young adult and wish to be replenished in faith and community, please contact Donna Ingolia – (408) 227-5704 or email DGINGOGLIA@aol.com
LAYETTE MINISTRY: a group of parishioners meet every Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (except the during the month of August and the last three weeks in December) to knit, crochet or quilt baby items that are distributed through Santa Teresa Pantry and the Layette Program of the Diocese of San Jose.
We are one of over 30 parishes along with other Catholic organizations that partners with the Santa Clara Public Health Nurses to distribute nearly 500 layettes every year to families in need. The first Sunday in December there is a Diocesan “High Tea” where all the parish layette groups meet and turn in their hand-made items or new purchased items that have been collected throughout the year.
New members are always welcome. Please join us in the Santa Teresa Conference room on a Thursday morning.
If you are unable to attend our meetings but would like to contribute new handmade items, or purchase new onesies or one piece sleepers in size newborn to six months, please contact Arlene Lopes – 408 981-2987 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
